After 5 days road tripping in Mississippi on our motorcycles, we looked forward to unpacking our bags and staying for several days in Biloxi at the AAA Four Diamond Resort Beau Rivage Resort & Casino. Located on the Gulf Coast just one hour from New Orleans off the I-110 Loop, the Beau Rivage is an impressive structure, tallest in Biloxi, stretching 32 stories, within walking distance of the charming town.

Arrival
The shuttle dropped us off at the underground parking entrance, and we entered the Beau Rivage complex. As expected of a casino property (MGM RESORTS INTERNATIONAL), check-in isn’t as simple as stepping inside to the front reception. We managed to locate a bell cart, but no bell staff, and loaded bags onto the cart and rumbled along. From our entry, we took the elevator up one floor to the retail shopping maze, winding along the brightly colored, carpeted passageway past multiple boutiques to the front reception. For those arriving by car, the front portico is conveniently steps away from the reception desk.
Check-In
Our arrival coincided with check-in time (around 3pm), so there was quite a line at the front desk. Here is where the bell staff was hanging out, and they immediately took over our court. There also was plenty of cheerful staff at the desks, so the process went quickly. As this was my husband’s first visit to Mississippi and his first sighting of the Gulf, I requested a waterfront room, and this was our first Beau Rivage experience with Southern Hospitality. The receptionist took an extra 10 minutes to find the perfect view from of their 1,740 guest rooms and suites to make our request a reality.
Accommodations
Steps away from the front desk were the casino floor, but we detoured to the two sets of guestroom elevators. We zoomed up to our 23rd floor room, and my husband entered first. He immediately opened the expansive picture window, excited to see the amazing view we had of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The curtains stayed opened most of our visit to enjoy the spectacular view, including sunsets that had us going wow.

The guest rooms are fresh and cozy with plenty of room for two. The work space is just below the flat screen TV, slightly crowded, but the WiFi was strong.
Amenities
As a casino, the Beau Rivage’s focal point is their casino, an 85,000 square foot behemoth with 93 table games, thousands of slot machines and video poker games, and a poker room. A bit disconcerting is that smoking is allowed inside the building vs. my non-smoking state.
Plenty of dining options are available on-site including fine-dining and the typical buffet. Bars and lounges are dotted across the property, including our favorite the EIGHT75, located between the guest room elevators and the casino.
The pool offers a view of the Gulf amidst a tropically landscaped setting with private poolside cabanas and a Pool Bar & Café.

Beau Rivage’s Spa is a 20,000 square foot oasis offering expanded treatment menu, and a fitness facility.
The Beau Rivage does cater to meetings with tens of thousands of convention space. Unfortunately to access the meeting space, guests do have to walk through the casino, but once there, all meeting space is contained in that area.

Located on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Beau Rivage Resort & Casino stands out a massive hotel and casino, but even with its size, the staffs also stood out with their southern hospitality. Without exception, every time I walked by an employee, from housekeeping to casino to management, each one smiled and asked if I needed anything. Although I’m not a huge fan of casino vacation, I would definitely return to Beau Rivage due to its friendliness, comfortable rooms and location on the Gulf.
